  Votre meilleure clé pour une alimentation saine: la variété:  On dit que la variété est le piment de la vie, et c'est certainement vrai lorsqu'on essaie de manger sainement.  Personne n'aime manger la même chose jour après jour et l'ennui est l'ennemi d'une alimentation saine.  Heureusement pour ceux qui essaient de suivre une alimentation saine, il existe une grande variété d'aliments sains.  En plus des centaines de variétés de fruits et légumes disponibles à l'épicerie moyenne, il existe une grande variété de haricots, lentilles, noix, viande, produits laitiers, poisson et volaille.  Il n'est pas nécessaire que l'ennui s'installe lorsque vous poursuivez un mode de vie plus sain. ??  La clé pour profiter d'une variété d'aliments tout en mangeant sainement est de planifier les repas avec soin et de s'assurer d'utiliser les nombreuses variétés d'aliments disponibles.  En utilisant une combinaison de fruits frais, de légu

     Fatty Liver is a condition where excess fat builds up inside the cells of the liver. There are 2 types: Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic. In the beginning there are no or few symptoms so most people don’t know they have it unless a professional diagnoses it with lab work, imaging or by physical examination.

The interesting part is how you get there. When not caused by excess alcohol consumption, the condition is HIGHLY caused by your DIET.

This fat accumulation is caused by High Levels of Fat in the Blood, High Levels of Sugar and Insulin in the blood, Excess Abdominal (Visceral) Fat, Excess Weight.

The problem is that OVERTIME this fat around the liver will cause inflammation and tissue damage that can lead to liver failure. It is also HIGHLY associated with the development of Gallstones which causes pain and may require surgery.

It is definitely a condition that needs to be treated since it can be reversed with lifestyle changes when caught early.

DIET
A low glycemic diet, high in the right fruits, vegetables, fiber and good fats will help CONTROL INSULIN levels and weight. Decreasing insulin levels will help burn some of that abdominal fat and will bring triglyceride levels down.

 EXERCISE Will also help control blood sugar and insulin levels, weight, abdominal fat, blood pressure, etc.

 I always try to bring home the same point... that more than 90% of chronic diseases are PREVENTABLE & REVERSIBLE with lifestyle changes. Always give your body a chance to heal from within by giving it the building blocks it needs. Do not jump to treat EVERYTHING with MEDICATIONS. If you don’t treat the ACTUAL CAUSE of the problem and just Bandaid 🩹the symptoms, it will manifest in other ways!!!

I’m not sure what was more distressing about non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.

Finding out that I had it?

Discovering that it led steadily from fatty liver to fibrosis to cirrhosis and then to liver failure, a possible transplant or potential liver cancer?

Or was it the unexpected – and shocking – realization that, in fact, there’s no medical cure for fatty liver disease?

That there are no ‘anti-fatty liver’ meds?

No treatments? No procedures?

That doctors can’t help was certainly the last straw.

Instead, they advise ‘eat more healthily’. Whatever that means.

And, ‘get more exercise’.

And, ‘drink less alcohol’.

Basically, the advice they give every patient for every disease…

I worried constantly about how bad my fatty liver might become. How it might slowly progress into something far more serious.

Because whatever caused my fatty liver was only going to make it worse if I didn’t do something about it.
